This Billing & Subscription Policy governs how subscriptions, payments, cancellations, and refunds are handled for ContractIQ. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

Features included in each plan are described on the Pricing page. We reserve the right to modify plans or features with reasonable advance notice to existing subscribers.
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis — either monthly or annually depending on the billing cycle you selected at checkout. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. ContractIQ does not store your full credit card number on its servers. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
If you start a free trial, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial without incurring any charges. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged for the first billing period.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge according to Stripe's retry schedule. If the payment continues to fail, your account may be downgraded to the Starter (free) plan after a reasonable grace period. We will notify you by email before any downgrade occurs.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by emailing hello@contractiqapp.com.
All subscription fees are generally non-refundable once charged, except in the following circumstances:
To request a refund under the above exceptions, contact hello@contractiqapp.com within 14 days of the charge. We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.
You may upgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. When upgrading, you will be charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of your current billing period at the new plan's rate.
You may downgrade your plan at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refund is issued for the unused portion of the current period when downgrading.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase via email and/or in-app notification. Price changes will not affect your current billing period — they take effect at the next renewal. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
Prices displayed are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for all taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities. Where required by law, ContractIQ or Stripe may collect applicable sales tax or VAT.
AI technology, however advanced, has inherent limitations. You should be aware that:

Use of ContractIQ does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and ContractIQ or any of its affiliates, employees, or service providers. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice, and no communication through the Service should be treated as such.
ContractIQ shall not be liable for any losses, damages, missed deadlines, contract breaches, or legal consequences arising from your reliance on AI-generated analysis. Always treat the Service as a starting point for review, not a final authority on your contractual obligations.
